Shelby is from Lexington, KY where she graduated from Tates Creek High School in the International Baccalaureate program. Shelby is majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Shelby has had a co-op rotation at GE Appliances and someday hopes to work in the aerospace industry. Shelby is a part of the L. Stanley Pigman scholarship program and has lived in the Engineering LLP. Shelby is very involved on campus, along with being an engineering ambassador Shelby is the secretary for the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and a member of CRU (campus ministry). She has also been involved with the UK women's ultimate frisbee team.
