Engineering Grand Tour
Engineering Grand Tours allow families to learn about our engineering program, scholarships, co-ops and hear directly from professors and students. You’ll visit state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories as well as the new engineering residence hall. Grand Tours occur on Mondays throughout the academic year.
Lunch with Society of Women Engineers
You are invited to lunch with the UK Society of Women Engineers (SWE) prior to the Engineering Grand Tour! Learn about what SWE has to offer while meeting new friends. Lunch is offered for free in Champions Kitchen. Families of the prospective student are welcome to join too!
Engineering Open House
The UK Engineering Open House is a once-a-semester event held on a Saturday in the fall and spring. During this special event, prospective students and their guests interact with engineering professors and current students, tour engineering classrooms and laboratories, and have their questions answered regarding engineering majors, co-ops, scholarships and more. The option of visiting Pigman Hall – the engineering residence hall – is available too.
Women in Engineering (WiE) Day
During the Women in Engineering (WiE) Day, high school students will meet alumni, faculty, staff and students as they explore UK Engineering. Learn about the process of applying to UK, discover what it takes to be a successful engineering student, meet UK Engineering staff and faculty, and engage with current leaders in the UK Society of Women Engineers. Parents and guardians will also learn how they can help their students pursue a career in engineering during a special parent/guardian workshop. A free lunch in Champions Kitchen will be provided for those who attend WiE Day.
Engineering Information Session & Tour
Engineering Information Sessions are one-hour meetings with a UK Engineering Recruiter to learn about our engineering program, scholarships, co-ops and internships, housing, and more. You’ll also tour the engineering facilities.
Pathway to Engineering Transfer Session
During the Pathway to Engineering Transfer Session you’ll meet with an engineering recruiter to discuss admission requirements, co-ops and internships, scholarships, and more. You’ll also tour the engineering facilities
Future Women Engineers Conference
The Future Women Engineers Conference is an event in partnership with The Dow Chemical Company that will encourage female-identifying high school students to pursue a career in engineering. Students will do a hands-on activity, hear from industry professionals and current UK College of Engineering students, and learn from guest speakers, all while seeing firsthand how women have a prominent role in the field of engineering. Registration is free and open to high school students.
UK Campus Tour
In addition to coming to campus for an engineering visit, we encourage seeing the rest of our beautiful campus as well. The UK Visitor Center offers general information sessions and campus tours Monday through Friday (and select Saturdays) all year long.
Evening with Engineering Receptions
Evening with Engineering Receptions are held off-campus in your home area. During the event, you’ll speak directly with UK Engineering representatives, current students and successful alumni to have your questions answered regarding the engineering program, co-ops and internships, housing and more.
