Lara is a biosystems engineering major and biomedical engineering minor from Bowling Green, Kentucky. She is a member of the Scholars in Engineering and Management pathway within the Lewis Honors College, an Engineering LLP Peer Mentor, and she works in the biomedical engineering Molecular Imaging Lab. Lara recently received the Summer Research & Creativity Fellowship from the UK Office of Undergraduate Research and spent this past summer continuing her research. She spends her free time finding new ways to be involved on campus and exploring different parts of Kentucky. After graduation, Lara plans to attend graduate school for biomedical engineering with hopes of pursing a career in research.
