Mason is from Whispering Pines, North Carolina and is in the Chemical Engineering program. Along with his involvement as an Engineering Ambassador, he is also an active member on the board of the University of Kentucky Energy Club. As Project Director in the club, he finished projects cut short by the pandemic and helped begin the current push for electric vehicle chargers to come to campus. Now as vice president he assists the president in leading the club and increasing membership and activities. He is currently working towards the Power and Energy Certificate and the Distillation, Wine, and Brewing Studies Certificate. He hopes to continue his education at the University of Kentucky with the Engineering/MBA Dual Degree Program. In his free time he loves to spend time outdoors, work on his car, and go to Kentucky football games.
