Kelsey Carew works at the University of Kentucky in the College of Engineering-Department of Engineering Technology as a student affairs officer. She has been at UK for the last 10 years working in a variety of student support roles. Her professional focus is working with transfer students to explore and mitigate challenges faced while transferring from their home institution to UK. Additional professional interest areas are student development; student-centered advocacy work; curriculum development and STEM-based equity and inclusion practices. Kelsey lives in Lexington, KY with her husband Peter, son Hank, dogs Annie and Ruby and fat-tailed gecko, Buddy. Her hobbies include going on new adventures with family, music festivals, hiking and gardening.
