JJ is from Harlan County, Kentucky and is majoring in Mechanical Engineering. In addition to serving as a Peer Mentor, he is a member of the Wildcat Marching Band. Being from a small town, he loves living in Lexington because of the bigger city environment and the unique personality it has. He says the Engineering LLP helped him make key connections at UK and was a huge factor in his decision to attend UK.
