As an Associate Director, Doug oversees a number of research programs and research support services at KTC, including Freight and Logistics, Traffic and Safety, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Decision Support Systems, Technology Transfer, Transportation Education and Professional Development, Marketing and Outreach, and Library Services. Doug brings with him 18 years of experience in transportation research at KTC and 13 years in the construction industry, where he operated and managed his own construction firm. Doug has established research expertise in the areas of freight security, supply chain management, transportation finance, intelligent transportation systems, construction management, and business management. Since 2000, Doug has been a certified Project Management Professional. He has received accreditation from the American Society of Transportation and Logistics as well, and maintains a membership with the Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers.
