Hometown: Louisville, KY

Salena is from Louisville, Kentucky and majoring in civil engineering. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc, TRIO Student Support Services, and the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation. She says the Engineering LLP helped her transition to UK as a first generation college student. Living in Woodland Glen III helped her meet peers with the same goals and a convenient space to ask peer tutors in The Study about any of her classes. She credits the Engineering LLP with helping her meet people in different organizations that helped her gain skills to be more well-rounded as a person and engineer.
