    Chris Van Dyke is currently a Senior Research Scientist at the Kentucky Transportation Center (KTC), where he has been on staff since 2012. Chris has contributed to projects focused on the U.S. inland waterway system, one that evaluated mitigation practices for small jurisdictional streams and ditches located adjacent to road construction, and another which measured the sustainability of roadway design and building practices in the state of Kentucky. Currently, he is working on two projects for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet — one investigates the methodologies used to estimate road project construction costs, and another focuses on the application of surveying technologies. For his contributions to KTC and the Multimodal and Transportation Infrastructure Consortium (MTIC), Chris was awarded MTIC’s Student of the Year Award in 2013. He holds a PhD in Geography and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Statistics from the University of Kentucky.
