Handshake - UK's Career Management Resource
UK’s online career management system, Handshake, allows you to apply for jobs and internships and sign up for on-campus interviews 24 hours a day, seven days a week, anywhere in the world! Many local, state, national and even international employers conduct interviews on UK’s campus during the fall and spring semesters. Don’t miss out on this chance to land an interview! You can also make your resume available for review by employers, find specific contacts at an organization and view company information sessions through Handshake. You can access the student site here.
The system has an appointment scheduler so you can request appointments with members of our team. Once logged in, go to "resources" and "request and appointment."
Handshake also has a resources page that allows you to practice interviewing, has dedicated resources for graduate students, for international students, and resources to help you construct resumes, learn about opportunities in your area of study, and utilize all kinds of fantastic information. Goin' Global
The University of Kentucky has a resource available to UK students to help them find internships or full-time positions abroad. The site also gives you detailed country career guides on common customs and information on a number of foreign countries. Information is also available for F1 Visa students.
Candid Career
Use CandidCareer.com, A FREE and convenient way to explore careers. View informational videos online, anytime, anywhere. Hear the personal stories of professionals, and get insight and advice about their jobs.
Vault
Through Handshake's resources page, UK students have access to Vault, which offers a lot of opportunities to research jobs, careers, career fields and companies. Vault has a lot of peer information about interview processes, as well as recent news about a company that you may want to know about before going into an interview.
Big Interview
Practice answering interview questions by recording yourself. Consider forwarding the interviews to others for feedback.

Find and apply for jobs with a streamlined approach to managing and saving job search documents and information.

Are you an Alumnus Seeking New Challenges?
UK Alumni have access to our career management system, Handshake (uky.joinhandshake.com) and all other resources offered through Handshake to search for positions that require experience. We encourage our employers to post positions for alumni as well as current students on Handshake.
Our UK Alumni Association also has two dedicated career counselors on staff. They organize biweekly job club meetings, and are available for one on one consultations for engineering alumni who graduated over 6 months ago.

O*NET OnLine
O*NET OnLine is an application that was created for the general public to provide broad access to the O*NET database of occupational information. O*NET OnLine offers a variety of search options and occupational data, while My Next Move is a streamlined application for students and job seekers. Both applications were developed for the U.S. Department of Labor by the National Center for O*NET Development.
