Admission to the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Graduate Programs requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, a GPA of at least a 3.0/4.0 on all graduate and undergraduate work. We also ask for GRE scores of at least 310 (Verbal and Quantitative and a least 160 on the quantitative portion) and a 3.5 on the analytical portion. If required, TOEFL scores of 80 (internet-based) 213 (computer based/550 (paper-based) will need to be submitted with the online application, a statement of purpose and contact information for three references. Applicants who intend to pursue graduate research activities (i.e. Ph.D. and M.Sc. Thesis applicants) are encouraged to apply before the Priority Deadline. Those who have applied by the Priority Deadline will be sent an application for the March Recruitment Weekend to tour research facilities and engage with potential research mentors.
Admission fees are waived for domestic students with a 3.5 GPA (Contact Hannah Tyler for a fee waiver).
Guaranteed funding for Ph.D. students for five years.
